If you shop on Friday's you get double points which goes toward 10 to 90 cents off at their gas station. This makes it cheaper than Costco. They have good sales on their produce and meat plus they send you coupons for the things you actually buy often. The people who work at the self-checkout area are very nice and helpful. The cheaper gas and the coupons make this store worth it.

The store upgrades are very noticeable. The parking lot is still a packed situation. But not much can be done about that. Overall, it is still a go to grocery store in Carson City. Side note: Thomas (a courtesy clerk for many years) is the best. He deserves some positive corporate attention.

The girl who works in the Deli (brunette, tall, late 20s ish) has the worst attitude i've ever seen. She is ALWAYS rude, everytime i've seen her. Ordered some ham and cheese from her and she was insanely unprofessional, gave attitude like she didn't want to help customers at ALL and it felt like a huge inconvenience. She then moved as slow as possible, seemed to purposefully delay the order and in the end got EVERYTHING wrong. The whole order. I dont know if she did it on purpose or what but when she was done she just threw them on the counter with attitude and didn't say a word. Then proceeded to throw bags down like she was mad and gave me the bitchiest look. This was after being super nice to her and patient too! I dont know what her problem is but she should NOT be working in customer service. Can't stand how this Smiths has so many of these workers.

Went n close to closing time the other night. Had to transfer cash to pay for groceries. The clerk must have been over my shoulder 4xs trying to hurry me along. There were 3 other employees 3' away shooting the breeze. Not one of them offered to help me bag the groceries. Hey lady, thet woulda got me out the door quicker!.... Just bad taste in my mouth. Normally I like shopping here tho. Maybe it was just too close to quitting time.

I’ve never had a more unpleasant experience at a smiths. Extremely disappointing. Mary the cashier has awful customer service and manners. After standing in her line with her stand light on for about ten minutes. As soon as I got to the belt to unload my groceries she as unkindly and rude as you can imagine looked at me and said “I’m closed” and shut her light off. Even the gentleman who purchased his groceries before me was visibly disgusted with her nasty behavior. Had she told me before standing in line for 10 minutes or even said it in a kind tone or apologized for not telling me earlier, I would have GLADLY went to a different check out line. Mind you I had less than 20 items in my cart. I asked for a manager to let them know how one of their employees had just treated me. I let them know and they said she would receive proper training and that they were sorry. HUMAN DECENCY isn’t asking too much from someone working in a customer service position. I won’t be returning until I’m notified that Mary has Reno her training 🤣 all jokes aside. Don’t stand in Mary’s line, unless you’re into being treated like a peasant.
